Ex-Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan paid a courtesy call of the legendary Abedi Pele ahead of the launch of his maiden memoir.
Asamoah Gyan took the opportunity to hand the three times African Footballer of the Year an invite to the launch of his book on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
The country’s all time leading scorer was in the company of his manager, Samuel Anim Addo and ex-Ghana defender Tony Baffoe when they met Abedi Pele.
“The LeGyandary invite, paid a visit to the Maestro Abedi Ayew Pele, a great player from the Ghana and Africa to the World. I was joined by Mr Anthony Baffoe and my Manager Anim Addo to officially invite him to my book launch tomorrow. See you all tomorrow as we make history again,” he wrote on Twitter.
Abedi Pele will be joining several other dignitaries including Senegal legend El Hadji Diouf as well as Liberia president George Weah.
“Spend a great afternoon accompanying the one and only Asamoah Gyan his manager Anim Addo to invite the Maestro Abedi Pele himself and Mr Tornado Stephen Appiah to the Asamoah Gyan book launch tomorrow at the Kempinski hotel ..it’s on,” wrote Tony Baffoe.
