Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association(BARFA) to suspend Sene, Pru and Atebubu zone this week over hooliganism at Yeji in week 3 league match of Yeji Mist Academy vs Atebubu Esperance FC, Moniksmediagh.com gathers.
Players and officials of Esperance FC were brutalized, causing a player by name Cassius Opoku a serious injury at the spinal cord at Yeji on March 19.
Thus, BARFA will be acting its powers under Article 14(2) of the GFA league regulations and may officially ban the venue or zone.
14(2) ” The GFA may order the closure of any league center/venue where the safety of clubs, match officials, and match spectators cannot be guaranteed”

Good evening members.
We want to use this opportunity to thank each and everyone who showed concern to our team when we were brutalized at YEJI on Saturday. Our players who were affected through beatings are responding to treatments as at now. We want to also assured the general public and every club we will use all legal ways to get the perpetrators involved and we also to make clear that ESPERANCE FC is a team that desist itself from hooliganism in football, this has never happened to us before even during our time in FIRST DIVISION.We are also appealing to the RFA and the disciplinary committee to look into the issues very critical as our protest has been submitted. We need fair ruling as the outcome of the case.we are calling on our supporters to calm down because football is about peace, love and unity. Thanks to everyone who showed concern,we are grateful to you all.
