Kevin-Prince Boateng has expressed delight in leading Hertha Berlin further away from the drop after a crucial win against fellow strugglers VfB Stuttgart.
The Ghana international started and lasted over an hour as Hertha defeated Stuttgart 2-0 at home to make it back-to-back wins in their last two games.
The victory sends them four points clear of the drop.
“Exactly so and not,” he posted after the game as he strives to keep the capital-based club in the Bundesliga.
Hertha Berlin got off to a great start after Davie Selke opened the scoring just four minutes into the game.
Isak Belfodil, who replaced Boateng in the 64th minute, sealed victory with an injury time winner.
With three games remaining, Boateng will play a vital role in Felix Magath’s team after a tough campaign.
Kevin-Prince Boateng has made 15 appearances since rejoining the club last summer after leaving Italy.
