The new electronic charges which commenced on 1st May, levied our transactions can be escaped via the below steps.
It is a normal codes(USSD) which starts from(*) and ends with (#). It is popularly known MOVE. It is used to transfer monies to others via mobile money or bank without E-levy charges at least for now.
Example, if you want to send 200 cedis, they will charge u the normal Telcom charge (2 cedis) with a service fee of (1) no E-Levy applies.
Just dial code *718*2# then follow the prompts to send your money.
To send money to your loved ones from your Momo wallet, simply follow the following steps
- *718*2# the various menu will appear
- Select option 1 (Send Money)
- Select option 1 (Wallet)
- Select network (1 is for MTN Momo and the others follows)
- Enter the recipient’s number
- Enter amount
- Confirm
Note: You can also use the MOVE code to buy airtime and other transactions
