Samuel Inkoom starts for Hearts of Oak against Skky FC
Hearts of Oak star Samuel Inkoom makes his debut start for defending champions, Hearts of Oak in thier MTN FA Cup quarter final game against division one giants, Skyy FC at Accra Sports Stadium, 3M.
Winners of 2020/21 MTN FA Cup, Hearts of Oak will want to defend this year’s trophy after seeing least chance in winning the 2021/22 Ghana premier league.
The former Asante Kotoko defender, Samuel Inkoom’s appearance for Hearts of Oak will be the second time after making debut in Hearts of Oak’s defeat to Kotoko in week 24 of Ghana PL.
The 32-year old has been training with Hearts of Oak since the start of last month and has managed to impress the technical handlers of the team, hence he has been rewarded with a year contract.
Hearts of Oak becomes Samuel Inkoom’s 14th club in his senior career. The right-back has in the past featured for the likes of Asante Kotoko, FC Basel, Dnipro, Bastia, DC United, Boavista FC, Antalyaspor, Vereya and so on.
The winner of today’s MTN FA Cup quarter finals between Hearts of Oak and Skyy FC will face Dreams FC in the semis.
Samuel Inkoom has made 46 appearances for the Black Stars and has represented the team at numerous major tournaments, including the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
He was a member of the Black Satellites team that won the 2009 FIFA U2O World Cup held in Egypt.
