Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has rejoined Rennes following Black Stars shock early exit from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Rennes published photos of Sulemana’s return to training on Wednesday.
He trained with the group and is likely to be available for selection on Sunday when Rennes play Brest in Ligue 1.
The youngster, making his Afcon debut, struggled in Cameroon. He played all three group games but made no impact as Black Stars crashed out with a single point.
“My first dance at Afcon started on the wrong foot with performances as a team beyond embarrassing but very grateful for my debut in this prestigious tournament,” Sulemana shared on social media.
“A very tough experience with so many learning curves. Things didn’t go as planned and we have ourselves to blame as a team.
“Sincere apologies. No excuse or apology is enough for Ghana deserves better. Giving up is never an option, we will be back and I mean we will back!
“Thank you for the unrivalled support & kind messages.”
